Obtaining your I-20
Depending on your offer of admission, you will be required to submit all or some of the documents below. You will receive an email after your acceptance that will inform you which of these documents you need to obtain your I-20.
Items you may need:
- Passport - Color scan of passport’s biographical pages must be emailed to artscigradadmissions@wustl.edu. This is required.
- Student Status Form - This form provides information for OISS such as the proper spelling of your name, country of birth and your current visa status.
- Affidavit - The affidavit is a statement of financial support. If someone other than Washington University (like a family member or yourself) is covering your tuition this form must be filled out.
- Financial Documentation - Bank statements/certificates of deposits or other funding that show an amount that is equal to or more than the required amount to cover one year of studies. You must also obtain a Form I-20 for any eligible dependents you plan to bring to the United States with you. Please let us know if you plan to bring eligible dependents.
- English Proficiency - An English proficiency test is required unless waived. We currently accept Duolingo, TOEFL, IELTS, and Gateway. You can view the full requirement and exemptions on the OISS website.
