Whitaker World Music Series: Eliades Ochoa

We have partnered with The Sheldon Concert Hall to offer you a series of concerts this spring. This event is accessible to Arts & Sciences Graduate Students only.

Eliades Ochoa is one of the most renowned Cuban “soneros” of all time, a notable defender of traditional Cuban music, and one of the best guitarists of his generation. An original member of the famed Buena Vista Social Club, his musical style reflects his place of origin in the Cuban countryside, the anecdotes he listened to, the “guateques campesinos,” and a series of other elements of Cuba’s rich culture that made him the artist he is today.

We are offering 20 tickets to this concert; This is first come, first served. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP below.

Hope to see you there!
