We are thrilled to host Sara Serritella as our Keynote Speaker for Sci-Comm Week 2024!
Sara Serritella is an award-winning investigative journalist turned Director of Communications at the Institute for Translational Medicine that’s powered by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and she is a lecturer at The University of Chicago and UChicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine. Sara enjoys teaching science communication to physicians, researchers, faculty, medical students, and undergraduates, and her high-energy presentations grace the stages of global and national conferences. Sara will be delivering her keynote talk, titled "Harness the Science of Storytelling to Transform Your Career & Share Your Research with Anyone," on Tuesday, August 20th at 9:00 am CDT in the EPNEC Auditorium. This event is open to the entire WashU community (no registration required) and presents a fantastic opportunity for students and community members alike to elevate their scientific communication skills.
